The London Borough of Bromley is leading the way as they continue to make Bromley Homes a priority, utilising MMC on existing Brownfield sites.
D4S were commissioned by M-AR Off-Site to develop the design of this brownfield site, and our services on this project have included both civils and structural engineering design.
Having produced the drainage strategy for planning our civils team will be developing the detailed design of the drainage and roads to adoptable standards. They will also be undertaking the cut and fill analysis to assist the contractor with their pricing.
Our structural team will be developing the design of a four-storey apartment block and terrace housing, providing 35 much needed affordable and quality homes for the London Borough of Bromley. The proposed buildings will be of modular construction and we will also be providing foundations and substructure designs. The rear the existing site includes 4m high retaining walls that require assessment and remedial works. The site itself requires regrading of the entrance to provide suitable access, with a difference in levels of 2.5m new retaining walls will be required.
Initially appointed for RIBA workstages 1-4, should the project achieve funding from the council, we shall also be introducing our construction modelling services to the scheme. Specialists in sfs they will provide fabrication models and drawings for the MMC construction.
We are very much looking forward to providing a one stop solution to M-AR taking the project right through from planning to fabrication detailing.
