An Impressive 2018

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped to make this a truly memorable year.

As the end of another year draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped to make this a truly memorable year. Throughout 2018, we have worked alongside clients on a number of challenging projects, engaging our team’s creativity and allowing us to demonstrate our skills. We have had a fantastic year and are grateful to everyone who has presented us with such wonderful opportunities.

These past 12 months we have worked on projects abroad, including a villa in Saudi Arabia, and at home, such as transforming a rundown garage into one of Liverpool’s hottest nightspots. We have worked on large-scale projects, like the superstructure for Oxford Airport’s new training facility, as well as smaller, quirkier projects which involved detailing the structures for interactive digital totems. We are also looking forward to seeing the 55ft tall Christmas tree for Derby City Council in action, as we designed the Christmas tree pit holding it up!

All in all, this year has delivered to our team some of the most interesting and challenging projects to date, and long may this continue, especially now we have added Architectural Metalwork, Balconies & Stairs, and Architectural Aluminium & Curtain Glazing, to the list of services we offer. This addition has delivered increasingly challenging and exciting projects to our team, providing us with more and more opportunities to demonstrate our skills and shine.

We also decided to become the official sponsors for the Welwyn R.F.C., our local rugby team, supporting the three age groups, under 13s, 15s and 18s. We are innovators within the construction industry, and one way we hope to encourage change is by supporting women who work in construction, which is a typically male-dominated industry. Dan, James and Jon all felt that sponsoring girls in a typically male-oriented sport was the perfect gesture, as not only does it support local youth and therefore align with their views on how the future lies with the younger generations, but it also shows their support for equality.

Finally, this year has also seen our team grow even bigger, with the addition of our two newest members, John and Oliver. Design4Structures was born from the vision of only two people, and now, two years later, we are ending the year with an impressive team of 12. Our numbers have continued to grow and bring in new talent with fresh ideas. If 2018 is anything to go by, then we can’t wait to see what talent will join our team in future!

We have had some wonderful opportunities throughout this year, and we can’t wait to see what 2019 will bring us. We will be closing at 1pm on Friday, 21st December for the Christmas break, and will reopen on Wednesday, 2nd January at 8:30am. From all of us here at Design4Structures, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
