Specifically these projects have boomed in the residential sector, which is a passion for many of our team. As a response to ensure we continue to deliver the highest quality solutions for our clients, we have expanded our team over the last few months and we’re delighted to introduce to you our newest members:
Francesco Crisafi – Structural Engineer
For the past 7 years Francesco has been working on a vast variety of cutting-edge and challenging projects, some of which have been award winning. Initially he gained valuable experience as a Revit BIM professional and since 2015 as a structural engineer. He has experience with different materials (timber and glass being his favourite), structural forms and is focused in producing feasible, aesthetic and economic engineering solutions for our clients.
His focus and favourite projects to work on are small to middle sized, where carbon efficient solutions are sought and innovative parametric design workflows are investigated. Once assigned to a project he has a proven track record of being totally committed and dedicated in finding the best efficient and valuable structural solution.
Roberto Di Ciancia – Senior Structural Engineer
Roberto is a fully qualified structural engineer with many years’ experience on a wide range of residential projects including both new-build and refurbishments, varying in complexity and with values ranging from £1,000 to £100,000,000. He has a positive attitude towards every project, enjoying giving his contribution as part of the team, ensuring that projects advance in a spirit of collaboration between all involved parties.
Roberto believes in ensuring that a pragmatic balance in application of sustainable principles and their viability are achieved during the design process, also keen to get involved at an early stage on projects to influence the design strategy and to provide his personal touch to ensure client satisfaction.
Francesco Pisciotti – Senior Structural Engineer
Francesco is a highly experienced structural engineer with a proven record of bridging efficient design with technical and practical solutions. He joins Design4Structures after being at Waterman Group, where he covered the role of senior engineer. Experienced on a variety of schemes with value up to 450 million, he is adept to identifying best practices with a holistic approach during the construction process.
Enthusiasm and passion make him a valuable team player for us, capable to build a reliable and friendly environment for our clients. Francesco prides himself most on his commitment to promoting safety, sustainability and innovation across the construction industry.
Pietro Gallus – Associate Director
Pietro is a civil and structural engineer and has been working in the UK since 2006, with previous experience in the construction sector overseas. He is a chartered member of the ICE with a passion for structures and technical excellence and has worked at various projects of different types and sizes, including various landmark developments such as New Holland Island, Trinity Leeds and Victoria Gate.
Pietro has experience in every phase of a project, from conceptual design to completion; both as a designer and as the client’s monitor engineer. Pietro has experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams of various sizes, with a commitment to mentoring and developing staff. He is passionate about quality, innovation and sustainability.
