Welcoming New Talent As We Continue To Move The Industry Forward

At D4S, growth doesn’t always mean size, it means bringing in the right people to strengthen what we already do best, integrated, precise delivery that keeps projects moving.

In recent months, we’ve welcomed new colleagues across engineering, civils and construction modelling. Some have only recently joined, while others are already well embedded in live projects. Each brings proven expertise, fresh perspective and the same collaborative mindset that defines how we work together. They make our team stronger and give clients even greater confidence in how we deliver.

Structural Engineering and Technical Specialists

Our engineering team has expanded with colleagues who bring experience from international consultancies, specialist sectors and high-profile projects. From world-record steelwork to hyperscale data centres and tall buildings, each adds fresh knowledge and perspective. What unites them is a solutions-focused approach that fits seamlessly with our integrated and smarter project delivery.

  • Mikael Irving, Associate: 8+ years at AtkinsRéalis, specialising in complex analysis and finite element modelling, with leadership on major projects including Guinness World Record-breaking steelwork in Qatar, and a passion for optimising workflows and innovative client-focused solutions.
  • Lakhbir Singh, Associate: 20 years’ experience in light gauge steel framing (LGSF). A Chartered Engineer, he spent nine years at Metsec before moving to Kingspan, where he advanced from Senior Structural Engineer to Engineering Manager. His expertise in delivering complex structural solutions and leading high-performing teams will strengthen our LGSF capabilities.
  • Callum MacHugh, Senior Structural Engineer: 7 years’ experience delivering projects across education, commercial, industrial and residential sectors, with expertise in concrete and steel design on schemes including logistics hubs, data centres and high-rise residential, with a collaborative and sustainability-driven approach.
  • Shafaq Hussain, Structural Engineer: hands-on experience delivering hyperscale data centres and commercial developments across Europe, with a specialism in data centre design and a collaborative approach that ensures structural performance, compliance and efficiency in high-demand environments.
  • Marcin Karczewski, Structural Engineer: 4+ years at AKT II on complex, high-profile projects alongside leading architects, with expertise in tall buildings, advanced geometries, and sustainable construction. Skilled in parametric modelling to drive efficiency and low-carbon design solutions.
  • Mollie Parsons, Design Engineer: over two years’ design experience in the Defence and Education sectors, with additional site engineering experience on a major motorway project, bringing a practical and collaborative mindset shaped by both consultancy and contracting.

Civil Engineering

Our civil engineering team continues to play a vital role in connecting projects to the wider built environment. With experience spanning major infrastructure, residential, highways and drainage schemes, our new colleagues bring both an international perspective and specialist technical skills. From shaping site layouts and highway design to delivering complex drainage strategies on flagship projects in the UK and overseas, they strengthen our ability to provide practical, sustainable solutions that integrate seamlessly with structural design and client needs.

  • Elliot Tudehope, Senior Civil Engineer: although not new to D4S, this is his first introduction as part of our growing team. With over a decade of experience in Australia and 7+ years in the UK, he specialises in highways, drainage and residential design, bringing expertise across all project stages and a collaborative approach to delivering functional, safe and cost-effective solutions.
  • Ednei Mouricio, Civil Engineer: experience on major infrastructure projects including the Lower Thames Crossing in the UK and NEOM in Saudi Arabia, specialising in drainage design and hydraulic modelling, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach to advancing sustainable infrastructure.

Construction Modelling

With a focus on buildability, precision and coordination, our modelling team supports clients and contractors in taking offsite and digitally led projects seamlessly from design through to delivery.

  • Jacob Baker, Technician (Offsite Projects): began his career in 2014 on the Digital Engineering Apprenticeship established by our CEO (formerly Cadcoe, now T3). He went on to work as a technician for multiple offsite manufacturers before rejoining us as a Tekla specialist within the offsite team, with additional expertise in Howick and light gauge steel systems. Bringing a decade of experience, he supports the delivery of complex, buildable solutions.

Looking Ahead

The expertise and perspectives our new colleagues bring reflect our commitment to continuous improvement and to moving the industry forward. With their support, we’re even better placed to deliver integrated solutions that reduce risk, save time and provide clarity for clients.
